About Me

Why Travel?

At one point in your life you will feel exhausted, bored and tired of your routinary life. When that day comes, just step out of your comfort box, move away from your usual self and see your life from different perspectives. Travel! Head out to the endless horizon and discover the world, go places and meet new faces, explore to understand new cultures, get lost to find yourself. In the end you will realize that traveling is not only about learning new cultures or meeting new friends or discovering new places, it also lets us discover our own culture, our limits, ourselves. It is a personal journey to self-discovery, because after all, it is only from the outside that we can look back in.

    Hi!

My friends and I are planning a trip to pinatubo this weekend. I found your site very helpful! 🙂 Your tips will surely be useful for our trip!

I was wondering if you can help me contact Ms. Bea Ramos because i tried calling her mobile number and it’s unattended. You were able to avail of the cheapest published rate so i was hoping to get in touch with your contact. Would you know how i can contact her?

    thanks so much!

    Good evening !

    I’m Maria Alyssa A. Capada
Tourism student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines
I’m a second year student and we will be having
    our on-the-job-training this summer vacation
I hope that you can help me with regards to my OJT.

I just want to ask if you are accepting OJTs.

    Thank you.

  3. Lyndsay

I love your blog! I’m signing up for subscription but for some reason I can’t, just gives me the blank page but the url of feedburner is still there…i’ll try it again later.. 🙂

    hi lakwatsero,

i was looking for tips for pinatubo trek and i found your site. it is a great help while planning for out trip this april. i was checking other sites for more tips when i came across this blog from one asia satana: http://aisasatana.blogspot.com/

i got surprised as i was reading the blog because the manner of writing felt familiar, as if i’ve read it before. as i read through, i knew it was similar to someone else’s blog. i went back to your site and true enough, the blog was not only similar. it was exactly the same entry (with a few minor edits like removing the “lakwatsero experience). well, as you are a “he” and asia santana is a “she” (she has a photo on her blog), i cannot logically surmise that only one person owns the two sites. hence, one or the other copied the content. and i’m sure it wasn’t you.

you may want to check it out. if i were you, i wouldn’t want someone else copying my work and posting it as his own.

by the way, kudos to you for maintaining this great site. 🙂

    1. Woah! Thanks for notifying me. Yes she copied my post word for word, and I feel bad. If she can’t compose her own, she should have credited her source. Will write/comment on her post.

Thanks again Gaye, and thanks for reading my blog 🙂

      1. Marjorie

Were you able to contact her about the copied posts?

    2. I also noticed that she copied my Pagudpud post word for word 🙁

      1. gaye

Hope she removes the posts when she hears from you.

    1. Ren Gumapit

just happen to surf the net on how to go to Mt Pinatubo. i think ur query is papuntang Mt Pinatubo since u were asking if there are available 4×4 there. yes, there are a lot. copied this from a blogger as well:
How to get to Pinatubo Spa Town
1.From Quezon CIty take NLEX until the DAU Tollway.
      2.Take SCTEX, exit Concepcion
3.After you exit SCTEX, take a LEFT headed towards Capas, Tarlac
4.Follow the road until you see a McDonald’s then an intersection. Turn LEFT and head South on McArthur Highway (turning right will lead you to Baguio)
5.Watch out for a Mercury Drug on your right and/or a Jolibee at your left. Once you see a Mercury Drug, try making a right. (Some roads are one way). Last resort turn right after you see the Jolibee on your left.
6.Turn RIGHT on the next major road.
7.Follow this road and stay on the MAIN ROAD. There will be a point where the road will become a small minor road, the main road will be to your LEFT. Landmark is an Iglesia ni Cristo at your left.
8.Follow this road until the end. There will be two checkpoints along the way.
9.Just stay on the road till you get to Pinatubo Sky Town in Barangay Sta. Juliana in Capas Tarlac. If you are early, your land mark will be all of the jeeps and 4x4s on the road.
Fees vary based on number of people… if you are 3-4 pax the fee is P1,500/pax. P4000 if you are 1 person. Inclusive of lunch (Filipino or Korean) and showers after.
Be sure to make arrangements before hand: My contact is Bea Ramos at 09297025058

      HOPE this helps you 😉

hi lakwatsero! i really enjoyed reading your blog about the “2k-budget calaguas challenge”!
i would just like to ask, is it possible to have a wedding there? or have you seen or do you know anyone na ngpakasal na don? ive always wanted a beach wedding and when my officemate told me about calaguas and i saw the pictures i was really amazed! this has to be the place! simple lng nmn and ceremony, walang ekek, immediate family members lng and the pastor. baka sunrise wedding then in the afternoon balik na din sa vinzons (my friend is friends with a resto-hotel owner there so we can get discount) coz may kasama kaming kids. though i would love na mg-overnight don. what do you suggest? is it doable? and pwede ba mgpakasal don? may fee ba? kugn may idea k nmn or suggestions or other info pls tell me. thanks! we’re planning the wedding late next year pa nmn so marami pa time to prepare. thanks in advance sa reply mo! =)

    1. hi tonic, i replied sa calaguas post 🙂
