THE RESULT OF CHEERS TO THREE YEARS CONTEST IS HERE.

Hi Nino, thanks for your entry. Tarlac is near Manila yet I’ve been here only once. I should visit the place and explore more of the province soon 🙂
I consider peaceful town of CATEEL, in the Province of DAVAO ORIENTAL as my hometown. I actually grew up there. Not known to many, Cateel is the home of ALIWAGWAG FALLS, the highest waterfalls in the Philippines. With its 84 tiers of cascading falls, Aliwagwag Falls appears to be a stunning stairway to heaven. I believe every traveler like you and me should visit and see this magnificent beauty. Aside from Aliwagwag Falls, Cateel has pristine beaches and undiscovered caves that is also considered a must-see destination in our hometown. So, whether this entry wins, I encourage you to come, visit and experience the thrills of my hometown Cateel. 🙂
Hi Olan. Thanks again! I hope makapunta ako sa Cateel, been wanting to go there since 2005 🙂
Hi Lakwatsero, my hometown is Las Piñas City aka as one of the cleanest cities in Metro Manila. Here you can find the most unique & world’s one and only Bamboo Organ in St. Joseph Parish Church.
Hi Anna! Thanks! Bamboo Organ is a national treasure! 🙂
I found my hometown in Cagayan de Oro City, home to the beautiful Kagay-an River and the best river-rafting down south, of the sinug-WOW of Butcher’s Best, of world-class restaurants the likes of Candy’s and Bigby’s! It is also mere hours away to the longest zip-line in Dahilayan, the pineapple-y steaks in Del Monte, the Monastery of the Transfiguration, and the buttery clam soup at Roadhouse in Bukidnon. An hour away, too, to the best lechon in VisMin (in my humble opinion), in Timoga, minutes out of Iligan City 🙂
awww this made me miss cdo so so much,i got carried away!
congratulations on 3 years, tunay na friend!
THANKS TUNAY NA FRIEND! I love CDO too 🙂
Bigby’s Cheesecakes are heaven, CDO’s Bigby’s lang ang naay cakes 🙂 Miss you tet!
I consider Tuguegarao City,Cagayan as my hometown. Famous for the yummiest carabao milk candy and “batil patong” pancit.
Thanks Min! We will go back to Tuguegaro this June! Hope to taste the Carabao Milk Candy and Batil patong pancit, where can I find the best in town?
Hi Lakwatsero, I consider Baguio as my hometown, the summer capital of the Philippines. It’s where you can have a taste of the World’s most expensive coffee, the Kape Alamid, at the Cordillera Coffee 😉
Thanks Fhranceeska! I love going to Baguio! I love the Tamtaco’s Ube jam 🙂
Good day!! I’m Donna and my hometown is San Juan City 🙂 visit Greenhills shopping center on November to December and watch the Christmas puppet show (the way old COD Cubao used to do). While you’re there buy bibingka or puto bumbong with matching hot cocoa at food stalls nearby and eat it while watching the show. You’ll definitely feel Christmas in the air, food, scenery and the crazy Christmas shopping rush.
Thanks Donna! Must visit this coming Christmas 🙂 Wait that’s 9 months away pa 🙂

Hello, Lakwatsero. I am a lakwatsera too, but due to numerous obligations, I refrained from travelling, at least for now.
Anyway, my hometown is in Caloocan City.If you love to eat seafoods and Filipino dishes, visit Barrio Fiesta that sits along EDSA in Palanan. 🙂
Thanks Divine. Malapit lang ako sa Caloocan, I have a lot of friends in Mabini/City Hall 🙂
Manila is my hometown, the site of the country’s premiere park, Rizal Park (Luneta).
You can also experience deeper adventure at the very first marine-themed park in the country, Manila Ocean Park.

Hello! I grew up in Cainta, Rizal and Angono is only a few minutes drive from there. What I love about Angono is exotic food particularly those served in Balaw balaw restaurant. I’m also a big fan of the Blancos who do beautiful paintings of the countryside. And of course a visit to this town without seeing the higantes festival. These are the reasons why I consider Angono my (second) hometown.
Thanks again Ferdinand! When is Higantes Festival again? I hope I can see it soon 🙂
Hi Lakwatsero!
My hometown is Aklan. I know Boracay is way much famous than the province itself but I suggest you checking out Tangalan which has white sand beaches too. You’ve read it right, it’s not just Boracay but Tangalan Aklan has white sand beaches too! (I think I’ve just repeated myself but I thought I’d let everyone know there’s more to Aklan aside from Boracay). Check our Blue Star Resort http://frenzfries.blogspot.com/2010/01/jawili-blue-starfish-resort_19.html
You need to check out this album which showcases the best of Aklan – aside from Boracay. You’ll be surprised at how most of these places are unvisited and underrated.

Thanks again Jonha! And I will say again, there’s more in Aklan, not just Boracay. I hope I can explore more of your place 🙂
I consider Batangas City as my hometown. My favorite restaurant there Gotohan sa Barangay. They serves assorted Filipino dishes like goto (tripe), kaldereta (stewed meat) and crispy pata (pig knuckle) at very reasonable prices.
Happy 3rd Anniversary!
Thanks Aida! Will check that resto when I go to Batangas 🙂
I lived in Busuanga for like forever. A Must see is the North cay, South cay and Black island though there is still lots of beaches nearby. and oh, there’s Calauit wildlife sanctuary also. And you can do a side trip to Concepcion falls and a feast of homemade cheese burger from mike and ann’s resto along Concepcion pier is definitely worth your travel. 🙂
Wow! I love Coron. I love wreck diving, beacvh bummin, snorkeling and everything about Coron. I have yet to see Calauit, hopefully this year 🙂 Will put also Concepsion falls in my bucket list when I go back there 🙂 Thanks Leah!
I’ve lived in many places in the Philippines namely (Cagayan de Oro City, Oroquieta City, Davao City, Sto. Tomas, Batangas, Batangas City and the City of Manila); but my hometown is Sagada, Mt. Province.
I’m really proud to know you Angel. You’ve come a really long way. 😀
Hi there Lakwatsero, my hometown is Cavite, a very historical place where you can find the Aguinaldo Shrine and Corregidor. It’s also a great summer destination so visit Caylabne Bay or Boracay de Cavite in Ternate. And of course, Cavitenos invented the halo-halo so head to Digman, Bacoor. 🙂 See you in Cavite!
Thanks Kim!
Hope to visit Ternate and the rest of Cavite one of these days 🙂
Thanks buddy! Thanks for all your support and everything!
Congrats on your 3rd Anniversary! More power (and trips) to you!! XD
I grew up here in Rizal having moved here when I was 5. A must do activity would be to take the Manila east road from ortigas ave extension and drive (or ride a bike) through Taytay (eat at Bahay Kawayan), Angono (try their fried itik, and marvel at their public art scattered throughout the town proper), Binangonan (eat at Balaw-balaw restaurant and/or stop by the Angono cave–some say it’s already part of Binangonan, geographically), Cardona (take a moment to look at Laguna Lake near the Binangonan-Cardona boundary), Morong (drop by Morong Church) and Baras (drink coffee at one of the roadside cafes). You can end your trip in Tanay by going to Sierra Madre Resort & Hotel for some R&R, or cool down in Daranak Falls).
You can also go the other route, via Antipolo naman, but that’s a different post 🙂
Jools! Musta buddy?
Thanks thanks!
Yes, taga Rizal ka nga pala! Madaming magandang falls dyan. Hope to visit and explore Rizal more 🙂
I consider Davao City as my other hometown since i’ve been living here half of my life. You must try the longest, fastest and highest zipline here at Outland Adventure!
congrats!
Thanks Connie! One of my favorite cities – Davao!
Happy Anniversary Angel! ^_^
