About Nagsasa Cove
The rise to fame of Anawangin paved the way for other hidden coves in the western coast of Zambales to be known, and one that is fast becoming popular is the Nagsasa Cove.
With sand that is the same with Anawangin, an area twice as big, and perhaps a more beautiful backdrop, Nagsasa Cove promises everyone a more fun adventure.
An hour and a half from barangay San Miguel and Pundaquit in San Antonio, Zambales, the cove offers more than what other coves in the area can offer: a lovely beach on a grayish sand; a lake that reflects the beautiful landscape; a grassy mountains that turn brown on summer; a waterfalls hidden in the mountain’s side; and the serenity and simplicity of life that the place guarantee.
How to Get to Nagsasa Cove
Bus: Manila to San Antonio (Zambales)
Going to Nagsasa Cove is pretty similar to Anawangin Cove, and the same applies to Talisayin Cove and even the farthest Silanguin Cove.
To get there from Manila, ride a bus bound to Iba or Sta. Cruz, Zambales via Olongapo. Victory Liner has scheduled trips to these destinations. Tell the driver to drop you off at San Antonio. Fare starts at P270, travel time is around 3 to 4 hours via NLEX.
Upon reaching San Antonio, transfer to a tricycle to Barangay San Miguel or Pundaquit, standard rate is P30 per person, you may opt to add some tip since it is quite far.
Boat to Nagsasa Cove
Boats can be chartered at Barangay San Miguel or Pundaquit going to Nagsasa Cove, rate starts at P2,000 for Anawangin – Capones-Nagsasa round trip good for maximum of four persons. Travel time from Pundaquit to Nagsasa is approximately 90 minutes.

Where to Stay in Nagsasa and Pundaquit
Since there is no commercial accommodation in this island, you may bring a tent or camping equipments (plus foods and drinking water) if you are planning to stay there overnight. Just tell the boatman your planned date and time of return to San Antonio.
If you are not into camping, you can have a day trip in Nagsasa and stay overnight in Pundaquit or San Miguel where numerous hotels and restaurants can be found. You can have a room for as low as P1000.00 there.

Very nice…but I feel bad today..we went to Nagsasa last holy week and our boat man is Mang johnny of Pundaquit his Banca’s name was Carmelita..My husband appreciated the serenity of the place thats why when we go back to manila he spread the news to his workmates and they agreed to go back with the same boatman Mang Johnny because he likes his service so he called him unfortunately someone use his name in the facebook where we get the contact number and pretend that he was the same person who guide us..so when my husband saw him he told him the truth that he was not the boatman that we had during the first escapade..the point is since theres a boat organization there I guess they should not get the client instead help the travelers to get the person they were looking…My advice is be careful..hopefully it will not happen again..I wish
Thanks for the advice denvera. That was really bad. Ingat sa mga mapamantala 🙂

Nagsasa is twice the distance of Anawangin and grabe, hundred notches better. My friends and I went to Nagsasa Cove nitong weekend (March 19-21, 2011), and grabe, no Photos can justify the real beauty of the place. Parang nasa ibang bansa na sa super ganda. Nagmotor lang kaming anim from Makati to Pundakit using Mcarthur highway. We left 2pm and got there at 7pm. We took the risk of riding the boat at night, at mega dasal kaming lahat. We got there at 10pm and set up agad camp and food. The next day, super photoshoot at gala na. Unadulterated beauty and the local aetas are nice.
Haha, sayang. Di bale, balik ka nalang and bring more batt nga 🙂 Agree, no photo can Justify the real beauty of the place 🙂
Thanks Easy 🙂

I love this place SO MUCH!!! If you want to go to a place wherein you can rest and have no worries, this is one of the best places to go to… No cp Signal (so basically NO disturbance at all), no electricity, all day of fun and rest…
Would love to go back to this place… Very serene, and with a very nice view of the open ocean… Very nice Beach… It’s like you’re in the movie THE BEACH with Leonardo Di Caprio, hahaha… THE BEST…
Thanks for dropping by Franz! I agree, one of the best places in the country 🙂
precise information, really something I look forward to doing.. in your opinion, what’s the better way to these adventures? Commute or bring your own car?
