response to Neng: the best thing is for you guys to spend the night in Laoag city if your arrival is 7 pm. Stay in a safe hotel not those dorm type places. I recommend Java hotel and you wont regret it.this is where celebrities stay coz its affordable , comfortable n safe. In Pagudpud , I recommend Punta Azul in the Blue Lagoon area .
    Java hotel +6377 770 5996 to 97 javahotel.com.ph, punta-azul-pagudpud.com tel. 09273231981, 09052662327. HAVE FUN.

Is this near at the airport?

It is in Barangay 10, Lagasca St. in the city proper. Around 30 minutes ride from the airport

  8. Neng

Thanks, is there any cheaper hotels in laoag or any transient house where we could stay???any no.so we could contact.??

There’s a new 3-storey dormitory that just opened last year with common living room w/ tv, common dining area and kitchen, 4 common bathrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor, room have cabinet and electric fan. They also have bigger rooms that can accomodate up to 6 or more people with 3 double deck beds. Try contacting Mr. Manny Manuel at 0919-2570621

Since you are coming from Pampanga, the travel time from there to Laoag will take 7 to 8 hours approximately, so the best time to leave there would be around 11PM to 12AM, you will be able to reach Laoag at sunrise in time for breakfast.

The best resort in the pagudpud area is punta azul. it is just a few steps by the water .It is located in the Blue lagoon north of Saud. The resort is of Western standard but affordable.Itis new w/ well appointed rooms w/ A/C in each room w/ showers and/ or tub.The water is clear , shallow and of course blue.

Well, I hope to try Punta Azul when I go back in Pagudpud.

Hi this is such an informative site. By the way we are planning for a 3 days/2 nights tour in ilocos. Please send me an itinerary for Vigan,Laoag and pagudpod. And how much po ung budget for 5 person , including food, accommodation and transpo… pls pls pls… ( ok na po ba ang 6k-7k each) sabay kasi anniv nung 2 pairs na kasama ko… hehe. Dun sana sila magce-celebr8 at para inggitin ako.. 🙁 hehehe….

I think 6-7K each will be enough. You can include the following in your itinerary: Kabigan Falls, Blue Lagoon, Bantay Abot Cave, Patapat Viaduct, Bangui Windmills, Bojeador Lighthouse, Laoag and Malacanang of the North, you may also add Paoay Church if time still perimts.
