Diguisit Falls
Baler, Aurora
Adventure awaits in Baler. From sea to summit, rivers to waterfalls, the town breaths adventure.
Baler is the capital of the Province of Aurora, nested on the east coast of Luzon, fronting the roaring waves of Pacific Ocean and enclosed by the mountains of Sierra Madre. The town’s relative isolation has preserved much of its sites, heritage and tradition that are all deeply rooted on its vibrant past. The town is a popular surfing destination in Luzon but unbeknown to many, Baler is more than the swells and breaks of its coasts because it also boasts of its unparalleled natural wonders, significant historical spots and other attractions that will surely delight adventure lovers out there!
Surf in the roaring waves of Sabang Beach, camp in secluded Dicasalarin Cove, trek to Ditumabo Falls, kayak in calm Zabali River, hike in challenging Mount Udok or rapel in Diguisit Falls as in this snapshot.
With the supervision of Great Escapes, I have experienced rappelling down the 40-foot high waterfalls, against the rocky wall and cold water that cascades on it. I must say, it was a real adventurer’s treat!
