Cagbalete Island
Mauban, Quezon Province

Before the rise of Palaui, Calaguas and Caramoan, there was already Cagbalete Island, once an emerging favorite weekend beach getaway.
Located off the coast of the town of Mauban, Cagbalete Island is one of the hidden jewels of Quezon Province. Its prominent feature is its long stretch of white sandy beach that becomes significantly exposed during low tide.
It was in 2009 when we first ventured into the island and here are the images that remind me of that simple yet unforgettable pleasures of the place.
