Nagarkot and Changu Narayan
Few kilometers east of Kathmandu, Nepal are the villages of Nagarkot and Changu Narayan in Bhaktapur District. Nagarkot and Changu Narayan are both popular tourist destinations in Kathmandu Nepal.
Nagarkot, with an elevation of 2,195 meters has a temperate weather and offers an amazing view of Himalayan Mountain Range. Tourists wake up early morning and go to lookout tower to see the sun as it rise behind the Himalayas. The best time of the year to see the mountain range is during winter (September to December).
Changu Narayan is the oldest and most revered temple in Kathmandu Valley, an epitome of culture, religion, history and faith since its establishment in 4th century A.D. The best way to see it is via a three hours of walking from Nagarkot.
