Banaue, Ifugao

The Rice Terraces of Bangaan in Banaue, Ifugao is one of the five clusters of the rice terraces inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. The others include Nagacadan Rice Terraces of Kiangan, the Rice Terraces of Mayoyao, the Rice Terraces of Hungduan and Batad Rice Terraces of Banaue.

Bangaan is perhaps the easily accessible rice terraces from Banaue Poblacion, only around twelve kilometers on a well paved road. The view from the main road provides a scenic and captivating image of the rice terraces. This image is the one in Ducligan, a neighboring barangay, which locals consider as part of Bangaan Rice Terraces.

The crops are almost ready for harvest when we went there last May. It was all green! Beautifully green!
