Pandan Grande

Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro

Our supposed fourth visit to Apo Reef turned into a search for a great detour as the huge waves and strong westerly winds made the trip safely impossible. We ended up exploring the town of Sablayan and the nearby Pandan Grande Island.

While our minds were set for a great island rendezvous at Apo Reef, the warm sun, blue sky and white sand of Pandan Grande Island provided a perfect substitute. Not to mention the vivid marine life and the huge sea turtles that we spotted in the waters around the island.

Pandan Grande Island located off the coast of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, is a small privately owned island that offers amazing beach experience. Only ten minutes by boat from mainland, it provides a perfect tropical life with its warm turquoise water and plenty of sun in a serene ambiance. Enjoy the beach life, feel the sun and explore its rich underwater life to best experience this small piece of paradise.
