Mt. Makiling Rainforest Park
Los Baños, Laguna
While others conquer Mt. Makiling on foot, we chose to conquer it with our bikes. To make it more challenging, we pedaled our way from Metropolis to the rough and uphill terrain of Mt. Makiling that starts at College of Forestry of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Most of the 26 member team of LPedal reached the Agila Base of Mt. Makiling. The uphill ride was a test of strength, endurance and patience, while the downhill in a ragged terrain was no joyride either but more of a challenge.
A grueling seventeen hours on the road with final odometer reading of 164 Kilometers from Sta. Cruz, Manila to Mt. Makiling and back. It was epic in every sense of the word, an Lpedal kind of adventure 🙂

I’ve been mountain biking for 4 years now but I’ve never been to Mount Makiling. I have done several mountain bike tours in different parts of Luzon but not Mount Makiling. Lol! I always tell my self, I’ll do a bike tour there in Makiling, pero sablay pa rin.
The last time I went there was when I was in grade 3. It was a boy scout activity.
Anyway, congrats. It was truly an epic mountain bike tour that you did.
