Museum Negara / Terengganu State Museum
Situated in a three hectare complex in Losong, Museum Negara or the Terengganu State Museum is considered as the biggest museum complex in South East Asia. It is the best place to go to discover the state’s colorful history and rich heritage.
Getting there by Bus: Take the Hentian Bas (Bus Station) – Losong line of Waktu Perjalanan Bus and get off at the museum. Fare: 1 Ringgit
Aman Tandaman Islam/Islamic Civilisation Park
Dubbed as the world’s first edutainment theme park, Islamic Civilisation Park is situated in Pulau Wan Man. The park is considered as the premier landmark of Terengganu. Built in 2010, the complex showcases the finest aspects of Islamic traditions.
Getting there by Bus: Take the Hentian Bas (Bus Station) – Losong line of Waktu Perjalanan Bus and get off at the complex. Fare: 1 Ringgit
Masjid/Mosques
Being a predominantly Islamic city, Kuala Terengganu is home to some of Malaysia’s most beautiful mosques. Aside from the Crystal Mosque in Pulau Wan Man, other prominent mosques in Kuala Terengganu are Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah, Masjid Abidin, Masjid Losong, Surau Al-ikhwan, Masjid Kg Batin, Masjid Jamek Pengadang Baru, Masjid Hiliran and Masjid Sultan Ismail.
Getting there by Bus: All these mosques are accessible via the Waktu Perjalanan Bus. Minimum fare: 1 Ringgit
Pulau Duyung/Duyung Island
A total opposite to the hustle and bustle of Kuala Terengganu, Pulau Duyung is an island in Terengganu River. Despite its proximity to the city, the island has maintained its rustic charm. Here you can see the traditional way of making a wooden boat. It is also one of the best places to see Masjid Kristal.

Pantai Batu Burok/Batu Burok Beach
Fronting the South China Sea, Pantai Batu Burok is the main beach of Kuala Terengganu, one of the best places to see the sunrise.

Kampung Cina/Chinatown
First established by the Chinese community in the late 19th century, the Chinatown of Kuala Terengganu is the best place to eat and shop. It was once the commercial hub of Kuala Terengganu. Dine in the rows of noodle houses and coffee shops to experience the China in the city.

Kuala Terengganu Waterfront and Pulau Warisan
Pulau Warisan or Heritage Island is a man-made island at the mouth of the Terengganu River. The place is near Kampung Cina. See it illuminated at night to best appreciate the area.
Getting there by Bus: Take any Waktu Perjalanan Bus to Hentian Bas (Bus Station), Pulau Warisan is 10-minutes by foot from the station. Fare: 1 Ringgit
Istana Maziah and Garden
Istana Maziah or Maziah Palace is the official resident of the Sultan of Terengganu. It is located at the foot of Bukit Puteri. Outside the perimieter fencing of Maziah Palace is a beautiful garden that is open for puclic.
Bukit Peteri
Bukit Peteri is a hill (others called mountain) and the highest elevation in Kuala Terengganu. Best place to see the unobstructed view of the entire city.
