When thinking of waterfalls in the island province of Camiguin, Katibawasan Falls is surely the first to pop up. Unknown to many, there are other waterfalls in the island that are equally majestic. Tuasan Falls is among them.
Nested at the slopes of Mount Tres Marias, Tuasan Falls is one of at least six waterfalls of Camiguin. It is located in the town of Catarman and accessible via the newly built access road from Mambajao that passes through the hinterland of the island.
Tuasan Falls may not be as famous as Katibawasan Falls in Mambajao but it is equally beautiful and fascinating. Its remoteness is a charm that makes it more idyllic.
The waterfall is approximately 25-meter drop along Looc River. A single layer horse tail cascade surrounded with lush greenery and with a small yet deep circular catch basin. The water emanates from the springs in the slopes of Mount Tres Marias that flows through Looc River before ending in the vast Bohol Sea.
It is about two kilometers away from the island’s circumferential road. Recently, an access road was built and it has become easily accessible to everyone.
Today, more and more people get to visit and appreciate Tuasan Falls. This is without a doubt as this gem is truly a nature’s masterpiece!
How to Get to Tuasan Falls
